The historic downtown is just a short stroll down the hill, with restaurants, art galleries, and interesting independent shops for browsing. Port Townsend uptown district is located just two blocks away. In the uptown area, from April through October you will find the Farmer's Market every Saturday morning, as well as great restaurants and Aldrich's Market, a great place for snack and picnic supplies. Park the car because everything is within walking distance, and there is no better way to explore than on foot!
